My Rescue dog won’t eat any treats?

I recently adopted a westie x cairn from a local animal shelter, he is settling in well, eating normally etc, but he won’t accept any treats at all, I have tried many types of biscuits and hides, sausages etc, but he just sniffs and walks away (even if left in his food bowl or on the florr etc) Any ideas as to why he would do this, and how I can get him to eat treats and know it is a good thing??
Thanks

He’s unsure and nervous. Give him some time. Try some cooked chicken or beef, cheese etc, if he takes that he just doesn’t like dog treats. Rule out the reasons.
